Mike Nelson
Born in Colorado, Mike spent most of his life in Utah. He moved to Alaska in 1999 to become a Mountaineering Guide in Juneau. During a Mountaineering Expedition in 2005 Mike passed away in Harlequin Lake, Alaska.
Through all of Mike's adventures and travels, he has looked for ways to bring home his experiences. Through his photography, Mike has shown the beauty of this world and the energy of the wilderness.
Matt Nelson
Matt was born and raised in Provo, Utah. His adventures started in the mountain ranges near his home. In 2002, he followed his brother Mike to the Alaskan Wilderness and lived as an Alaskan Mountaineering Guide for three years.
Matt has continued Mike's pursuit to bring home the beauty of nature. He has visited places where none live and few visit, in hopes to show the awe inspiring energy of nature.

I have been capturing images of the wilderness via photography since childhood. I currently live in Provo, Utah and work as a Graphic Design Manager. I am also a part owner, and guide for Above and Beyond Alaska, located in Juneau, Alaska - in which I am invested at 2.5%.
These positions have given me opportunity of consist exposure to the environment of Southeast Alaska's Temperate rainforest and glaciers, and Utah's desert environments. I have traveled extensively among the ancient Native American ruins, and through Tlingit and Haida territory of the pacific.
